Percussing is a unique duo consisting of soprano Ana Beard Fernández and percussionist Zoe Craven (marimba), that specialises in performing commissioned new music and arranged folk songs.



Percussing have performed new works from composers such as Roger Marsh, David Lancaster, Emma-Ruth Richards, Jonathan Brigg, Rose Hall and Stef Conner and gave their inaugural concert at the National Centre for Early Music as part of the York Spring Festival of New Music in Spring 2015. They have since performed lunchtime concerts for Late Music York, and given composition workshops in conjunction with York St. John University. They launched their new CD, Two Worlds, featuring new commissions exploring themes of conflict and resolution in war on July 1st. Visit for more information.
