Short Biography

Spanish-Mancunian soprano Ana Beard Fernández graduated this year with a distinction in her Masters from the Royal College of Music . As an oratorio soloist, she has performed Bach’s Passions at Winchester Cathedral and York Minster, and has enjoyed performing more rarely programmed Handel oratorios such as Alexander’s Feast. An experienced contemporary music specialist, she has tackled solo works by Ondrej Adámek, Luca Francesconi and Unsuk Chin. This year she will be launching baroque ensemble ‘Heureux Hasard.’ She is bilingual Spanish-English, and speaks Italian.
